Born and raised on a small Dairy Farm in Wisconsin. Attended UW Madison with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Was member of the UW wrestling team. Graduated in 1989
Started his professional career as an Ag and Commercial lender in Central WI in 1990. Then joined Grassland Dairy Products Inc. early 1993 to help grow the company. Worked in various areas of the company including finance, accounting, IT, procurement, risk management and sales.
Moved into the roll of CEO in 2014. During his tenure he has seen the company grow from $100mln in revenue in 1993 to around $2bln in revenue today running 7 sites in the USA and its own international sales organization covering 42 export markets. The company evolved from a butter manufacturer to an all-round dairy processor that still has the same ownership and can-do mentality from when he joined the company.
