Julie was raised on a farm in South West Nebraska, where she attended her primary school education. Julie obtained a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a few years later a Master’s of Science in ruminant nutrition from the University of Nebraska.

She worked as a chemist for a pharmaceutical company, a research scientist for a large feed company, and an independent on farm nutritional consultant prior to joining Chr. Hansen. Julie has held a technical account management and sales role with Chr. Hansen for 16 yrs. Julie accepted the challenge of chairing the IMPA dairy contest in 2008 and has helped the contest grow to the success it is today.
